This is a dream come true facility for all those who wish to send national or oversees fax, but find the cost of buying a fax machine or sending a fax the biggest deterrent.
An online company called Hello Fax has recently collaborated with Microsoft. This company allows you to send around 50 pages per month to any fax machine in the world. This facility is absolutely free. All you require is an internet connection and a Microsoft account.
To start, go to hellofax.com/skydrive and click the “Sign-up with Microsoft” link. Once you have signed in, just upload any document and put in a fax number (with country code) to send your first online fax. Once your fax has been successfully delivered, a copy of the sent fax document will be automatically saved in your SkyDrive.
HelloFax can be used to send Word documents, PDFs, text files, images and several other popular formats. You can also take documents directly from your SkyDrive, Box, Dropbox, Evernote and Google Drive accounts for faxing.
Your free account is only for sending faxes to other numbers. To receive faxes, you’ll have to buy an incoming fax number that costs around $7.99 per month.
Update – If you don’t have a Microsoft account, go to hellofax.com/googledrive and use your Google Account to sign-up for HelloFax. You will still get an initial amount credited to your Pay pal account for sending up to 50 faxes per month for free for a maximum of 6 months.
