PASSWORD PROTECTION FOR PDF

By Ishant Gupta

There are times when we have to share important and confidential information via PDF files. In such cases, it is necessary to ensure that only those individuals, to whom the file is addressed, read the file. Thus, it is a wise thing to protect the files with a password. Generally, any file can be password- protected using the settings. However, not everyone is familiar with this procedure. You can use the free and easy-to-use online service- ‘PDF Protect’.

How to use this service
First, go to the following website:

Here, you have to select the file, for which you want to set a password. Then, at a later stage, choose a password for this file. Once you select the ‘Protect’ option, your file will be in front of you. You can then save it to a directory of your choice and then share it with anyone you want. For using this tool, you neither have to perform any installation nor do you require any log-in.
